The Executioner's Song plot
"The story of two people who fell in love.....and kept on falling."
Based on the true story of Gary Mark Gilmore and the last nine months of his life (May 1976-January 1977), after serving a long prison term in Utah for robbery. Once back in society, he killed two more people. During a short trial trial, he was sentenced to death. The case was widely covered in the media because he himself insisted on the death penalty (Utah uses a firing squad).
