For his next project, successful music producer Frank Farian hires dancers Rob Pilatus and Fab Morvan and helps the two friends achieve enormous success. Under the name Milli Vanilli, Rob and Fab storm the international charts, score three number one hits in the US and enjoy the extravagant life in Hollywood. Only a small circle of insiders know their secret: the duo do not sing themselves, they only move their lips - to the voices of the real singers. At the height of their fame, Rob and Fab even won a Grammy, but the situation behind the scenes is becoming increasingly tense and Milli Vanilli threatens to become the biggest scandal in music history. Good film about two friends who are approached by a famous music producer. A film about the illustrious career of the duo Milli Vanilli. In itself a fairly standard rise-and-fall film, but of course it remains a good story. Elan Ben Ali and Tijan Njie are well cast and the whole 80s setting is fine. However, I found the documentary a bit better.
