I've seen it many times now... it becomes a kind of tradition around the end of the year... as is always part of Charles Dickens... and the Muppets... I keep telling the film in a fascinating way... still. I find the characters well thought out and therefore convincing. And the atmosphere is very well done. Everything appeals to the imagination.
As far as I'm concerned, we're dealing with a classic here. Truly an achievement! It is a film that will not be forgotten.

This film is already about twelve years old and can still keep up with other animation films.....pretty good actually.
Put this on again around Christmas and it was again great entertainment for me and the kids.... actually also one of the few FUN Christmas movies in an animation jacket.
I'm down a half but still very entertaining.

If I had seen the movie in 2004, I might have enjoyed the animation style more. But now it seems really dated and the film lacks the necessary charm due to the wooden figures. It's a film for children, but on the other hand, it doesn't fall into clichés too much. Which in turn belongs to Christmas movies... But there is plenty of adventure with the train ride. The before and after fall into the predictable mealiness. A film that doesn't look very nice, but that children will enjoy quite a bit.
