Sita Sings the Blues plot
"The Greatest Break-Up Story Ever Told."
Nina Paley mixes data from her personal life with elements from the Indian Ramayana epic in which the god Rama casts off his wife Sita. Likewise, Nina was rejected by her husband when he was called to work in India. That happened by text message. Three shadow puppets tell stories about both.
