Dog Man plot

When a dog and a police officer are injured on the job together, a life-saving operation changes the course of history and Dog Man is born. Watched at the request of the nine-year-old, and it came out better than expected; I could appreciate the humor. Of course the story is wafer-thin and you quickly forget the film, but I did laugh a few times at the dry humor. In addition, the star cast was really a plus in this film; they really carry the film!
I have never read the books/comics, but I don't need to to watch the movie. The movie itself gives enough background information about the main characters. So sit back and relax. Don't expect too much, because it will work out fine.

Agent Knight and his faithful dog Greg survive a time bomb explosion when doctors place Greg's head on Agent Knight's body. Dog Man [Peter Hastings] repeatedly captures arch-villain Petey The Cat [Pete Davidson], but the cat prison's poor security allows Petey to escape each time. Dog Man is blamed and given another chance to put Petey behind bars for good. Hastings and co-writer Pilkey poke fun at crime genre clichés, and there are plenty of good visual gags (including Petey's "hideout"), but Hastings' direction is chaotic and the mix of image and sound can be quite unnerving.
