The MTV series Beavis and Butt-Head was extremely popular in the 90s and I liked to watch it (also because they played hard rock). Due to its enormous popularity, it naturally had to be made into a movie. That became this film and I saw it in the cinema at the time. Although the film has some nice moments, this film is not recommended because it just takes too long, so at a certain point it becomes too bland and too long-winded. The film starts quite nice, but at a certain point I had had it and singing in a film is not necessary for me either. No, give me the series where an episode only lasted about 20 minutes, because that's more than enough.

Yawned a lot.

I've never seen the series, but I knew the characters, like most people around my age. In any case, MTV was not such an interesting channel, certainly not when you were more involved with electronic music. Rock, metal and the whole scene around it didn't interest me.

I have no idea how the film compares to the series, but based on this thing I have missed little to nothing in the past. Bland and ultra-predictable innuendo jokes are about all the film relies on. The plot may try to be absurd, but is also very easy, the characters are mostly one-note.

Visually it is also ugly, in terms of style that is probably intended, but the animation itself is mainly cheap rather than stylized. 80 minutes isn't really long, but it certainly seemed like 80 more, as the film is very repetitive after a while and starts to get on your nerves.

Mno, I can quite enjoy the rude and peasant humor, but entertain us for an hour and a half -> anus jokes just seem lazy to me.

1.0*

In the 90's I loved Metal but for some reason Beavis and Butt-Head were not for me. I struggled through an episode and only laughed out loud at a video they once shot with Cher.

Now 20 years later I wanted to give this dynamic duo another chance, but the same problem as before came up again. It is very much of the same and after about fifteen minutes you have seen it. Nevertheless, in the current cancel culture it is wonderful to see two intensely wrong teenagers from my youth on the warpath. I was able to laugh about some things, but as a whole the film was simply not good enough.

Moderate youth sentiment.
