A Stork's Journey plot

"Their adventure is the destination."

The orphaned sparrow Richard has been lovingly raised by a family of storks and thinks he is a stork himself. However, when autumn comes, the storks have to leave for Africa and are forced to tell Richard that he is actually a sparrow and that he cannot come to Africa, because as a non-migratory bird he will not survive the journey. Determined to prove that he is a real stork, Richard heads to Africa in his own unique way with the eccentric owl Olga and the egocentric disco-singing parakeet Kiki.

The directorial debut of Reza Memari. He collaborated with Anne D. Bernstein and Jeffrey Hylton on the script. The Genk animation company "Walking The Dog" brought the story to life.
