The Peanut Butter Falcon plot
The 22-year-old Zak, with Down syndrome, flees his care home. He wants to fulfill his dream of becoming a professional wrestler and take lessons. He meets Tyler, a thug on the run who will become his ally and coach. They embark on a journey together and are able to convince the nurse Eleanor to accompany them.

LaBeouf
These are my kind of movies. On an adventure, sympathetic, beautiful acting and a wonderful atmosphere. Very cynically you could certainly say that you have seen this before. Still, the mix in this film is close to perfect. LeBeouf is an actor where you are a bit afraid that he really wants to be taken seriously, so that he will overcompensate a bit. But here he shows that he is a real actor. He plays the tiles of the roof. Gottsagen is also praised and rightly so, but it is LaBeouf who gives him the tools to make it work. They make the film and although I always have a soft spot for Dakota, she is mainly a plot device to make them shine.
I also liked the ending. I suspected that Tyler was a bit dead but the film takes over the fairytale ending after blowing out the candles. As a viewer I also wanted to continue to believe in the fairy tale.

Nice nice movie. Ultimately, it is just a little too small to really make an impression, but it is certainly a pleasant viewing experience. The friendship between Zac and Tyler is portrayed very believably, however improbable in advance. The climax, however, was out of place, but that's not a bad thing. Film is not about the plot but about the adventure and human interaction.
