The Greening of Whitney Brown plot
Whitney (Sammi Hanratty), a spoiled and popular Philadelphia teen, is forced to move to the countryside when her parents Henry (Aidan Quinn) and Joan (Brooke Shields) feel the strain of the economic crisis. They move into Whitney's grandparents' old farmhouse. Far from her familiar surroundings, her friends, parties and the pressures of school, she befriends 'Odd Job Bob', the beautiful horse of neighbor Dusty (Kris Kristofferson). She makes an attempt to return to her old life, but through her newfound friendship with Odd Job Bob and Dusty, she discovers what it means to respect not only nature and her family, but also herself.
