“You stabbed me with a potato peeler!”

Great action movie. It all starts off calm and friendly, but when the violence erupts, Walking Tall goes straight ahead in top gear. The Rock was made for these kinds of movies and Knoxville is also doing well as a side-kick. McDonough is strongly cast as a bad guy and Ashley Scott doesn't hurt the eyes… A small town, a languid atmosphere, The Rock, strong fight scenes and a lot of corrupt bad guys, Walking Tall does exactly what you expect it to do. Unpretentious entertainment.

Excellent role for Dwayne Johnson and Johnny Knoxville can again be a great clown here. The story is pretty average but lends itself well to the action that this film generates. Nice and soft and quite good, but nothing wrong with that. In terms of action, it fits exactly as we are used to with the reels of the Rock.

Ooh, this is very thin. An extremely predictable plot, very flat characters and very bad fight scenes, with the only bright spots being The Rock and Johnny Knoxville (as absurd as it is that the latter would be appointed deputy). Nice and short, but that's what you get when you , for example, skip the entire Chris Vaughn election campaign and the eventual election itself. Very moderate. Incidentally, something funny: when Vaughn stops the villain in his car because of a broken tail light, a character is in the passenger seat that is played by Cobie Smulders, later Agent Maria Hill in the MCU.
