Lousy part where the script is terrible. Scenes follow each other where one is always in a completely different location without any logic So they are suddenly in a train, then standing in the snow with horses (where do they come from) and immediately after that they are where they need to be, in a remote hamlet..
The cast tries to act tough, but only Dance is fun. The special effects are bad and the climax is bad (but everything before the climax is too, so no surprise there).

The film continues on the momentum of the series. So fans will definitely love this one with the necessary action. Still, it's time to end the series or give it new blood (ironically for a vampire movie). For a 6th film in the series, it can still hold up to the average straight-to-DVD sequel with B actors.

Fairly distressing.
The problem is that people are constantly looking for ways to add more story to this series. But let that just be the point that absolutely does not captivate. The whining about half-breeds and wars and some personal drama is just completely out of place and only keeps the film up.
But I understand that it was necessary, because Foerster appears to be completely incapable of setting up a decent action scene, giving the characters some coolness. The attempts are obvious but fail time and again. Then you have to put in some extra story out of poverty.
It started pretty well with Underworld, but in the meantime it has just become an annoying series. A lot of hassle about nothing and when it tries to bring something fun it is moodless and styleless nonsense. Clearly in wrong hands, will be happy if they put an end to this.
