Entertaining part. The story, which borrows something from Jurassic Park and Predator, is again absurd, but is nicely developed by Paul. The pace is nice and the film looks great. There is plenty of tension and action. The film also contains the necessary humor. Unfortunately, this part also brings little new compared to the previous parts. The ode to Gummer was a success. Furthermore, the characters are well chosen and the film looks visually fine. 3.0/3.5

What was this???? Terribly bad movie. What a bastard. I really don't understand why money is being invested in this. My best mates are on shore, but I'm SURE I could have made a more exciting film. Don't watch it unless you want to be annoyed for an evening.

Compared to the uninteresting previous part, Shrieker Island is again a small improvement, but in the meantime the impression is starting to prevail that the makers simply wanted to go on holiday to distant countries. This time we find ourselves in the landscapes of Thailand, where mutated variants must be dealt with. Once again, director Don Michael Paul focuses heavily on computer effects and omits practical effects as much as possible. The action scenes are set up with a bit more pace and adrenaline, but once the Graboids or the Shriekers come into the picture, these scenes start to resemble certain moments in the two previous parts. For example, worms that move above ground like corkscrews or the explosions when such an animal moves beneath the surface are literally copied in design from their predecessors. The feeling that you have (quite literally) seen everything before is therefore constantly hanging in the air and the lack of innovation leads to a lot of boring moments. It is positive that Richard Brake can play a supporting role here, although this was clearly not written specifically for his presence.
