This movie has the honor of getting my 1000th vote

I had never seen this movie before and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. This is a fine and entertaining action/crime/humor movie. In terms of actor line-up, it strongly leans towards a B movie, but a very good one. I really liked Thomas Jane who plays the lead role, I really liked Paulina Porizkova (both figuratively but also her role she played quite well) and Aaron Eckhart's role was especially good in the opening scene. By the way, I found the opening scene strong and also funny, because of this the film had me hooked right away. After the great and also violent opening scene, the film slows down. But luckily he picks up very strong as soon as Paulina Porizkova comes to visit Thomas Jane. From that moment on, the film is a joy to watch. Even after the disappearance of Paulina Porizkova, the film remains strong because after that a number of nice characters come along (including Mickey Rourke).

I had a very good time with this movie and the duration of 90 minutes was just enough for this movie.

Was a funny crime comedy ala pulp fiction. If only I had seen this for a bit in 2004 and could have found the ex-rental video a year ago in a thrift store. But it was still a really good movie with a nice blunt humour. Thomas Jane was on a roll and that role of Nick and that one vague woman and especially that one rasta-negro was very beautiful. Mickey Rourke's small role was also cool.

I liked the best scenes: that start in that supermarket, that one with that rasta, that scene in which Casey is raped by that woman, that one guy with that circular saw, that shoot-out etc etc. Just nice moments again.

All in all, a well-done movie.

3.5*

Nice film about a former drug dealer who unexpectedly receives a visit from his still criminal brother. An entertaining story in which developments follow at a brisk pace. We've all seen it before, but there are plenty of entertaining moments in it (such as a great opening scene). It's not really surprising anywhere.
