I can still follow the negative reviews because it often seemed like hot air to me, but the average is undeservedly low. Still found this quite entertaining and there's a lot of the same elements from the two previous films coming back, but less well presented: Daniel gets harassed, Daniel gets a new girlfriend, Miyagi talks in riddles. Then some new additions : Miyagi initially doesn't want to train him and the enemy pretends to be a friend (makes no sense). . You can feel that the series was slowly drawing its last breath because the final fight was ridiculously bad. Suffer three minutes and then kill the opponent with one hit . And yet a fourth Karate Kid came with a girl this time.

Karate Kid : 3.5*
Karate Kid II : 3*
Karate Kid III : 3*

Reasonable film in which the karate kid is more or less forced to defend his title. The least part of the trilogy, albeit quite entertaining (for reasons other than the first film, though). The plot is not exactly believable. The bad guys are pretty bad in a bad way. A narrow 3.0 stars.

The Karate Kid 3 a film that is fine on its own, but is of course a household name for people who grew up in the 80s without a doubt. I think the series is very good and especially the first two parts I really have nothing to add. The third part in the Macchio and Morita series is a bit lacking compared to the first two, but still a wonderful film. It's all juicy and over the top but that's what makes it so delicious.
