"Expose the corruption. Protect the hive."
Adam Clay is a retired state agent who previously worked for a powerful and clandestine organization known as 'Beekeepers'. Now he spends his days as a beekeeper. A kind woman who has been caring for him one day falls victim to a phishing scam and takes her own life. Clay then starts a one-man war to make those responsible pay.

Pure Action Fun!!! 
I really enjoy that.
Story quite simple.
Cast isn't too bad.
But the action is really TOP for me.
For me, most of the points also go to the action in this film.
Hopefully this movie will make some money, which I think it will thanks to Jason.
Is it a TOP movie, not really. But it's great to experience an evening of action

Reasonable.
Just like last year, my cinema year starts with a Jason Statham film. And now that results in an entertaining, yet simple evening. The Beekeeper is certainly not his best film, nor is David Ayer's. For that, especially in the beginning, it all happens very quickly and things happen far too easily. All to prepare everything for Statham's revenge tour.
All flaws aside, I still enjoyed myself when the Beekeeper springs into action and eliminates several teams like a one-man army. Of course it all seems to be easy, but it hasn't bothered me for a moment. Plot-wise it gets another twist with that brat who turns out to arrange the presidential elections etc. A bit too far-fetched, but it doesn't get in the way of a bloody finale. The brawl with the guy in yellow who suddenly enters the story deserves an honorable mention. And Statham, now in his ripe fifties, has been at the top as an action hero for over 20 years now, but if he is alive and well, I think he can add another 20 years.

Oh well, it looks nice. Jason does what he does best, the rest of the cast was okay, nice to see Jeremy Irons again. Story is simple, far-fetched, and too easy. Fight scenes are decent, but 1 scene is quite brutal (with the South African).
