Shaft plot
"Still the man, any questions?"
Tough but cool detective John Shaft arrests racist Walter Wade Jr. after an argument that got out of hand. But Wade is easily released thanks to the influence and money of his rich father and the fact that the only eyewitness has disappeared without a trace. When Wade is recaptured two years later, Shaft does everything he can to find that one eyewitness and put Wade behind bars forever. But meanwhile, Wade has a deal with drug lord Peoples Hernandez, who helps Wade by killing the eyewitness.

For me one of the best crime films ever (apart from the mafia films with Pacino and De Niro) and much better than Snatch for example. Jackson as a tough cop and Bale as a racist rich man's son play a role that is tailor-made for them and the entire cast comes across very credible. Only with the role of Vanessa Williams I had it a bit more difficult. Beautiful action scenes and a great story with a surprising yet believable ending.
One of those many gems that are much too low rated here on moviemeter, 5 stars

So hey, this was bad. And especially the combination action with that terrible music as "support." I could only think of one solution: "mute." Furthermore, it was mainly watching how grass dries in a too hot summer. No points, but I don't do that anyway. Just flush.
