Indeed. This bearded hero who prefers to walk around in tight suits and strike tough poses is indeed unique.
Ace Hunter is the commander of Megaforce, a top-secret operation assigned by members of the free world to keep world peace. Likewise now.
Megaforce must be deployed to stop Guerera, a dictator, in his advance.
Megaforce does this by means of motorcycles and buggies, which are packed with missiles and lasers.
Delicious 80s pulp, which is undeservedly low valued. Fans of "wrong" action from this time will have the time of their lives. Exaggerated acting from both Barry Bostwick (as Ace Hunter) and Henry Silva (as Guerera).

Because this is strongly reminiscent of his TV productions. The A-Team and Knight Rider feel is rarely far away in this entertaining cult classic, which is sometimes so bad it becomes good.
The latter TV series is not so strange in this context, because KITT's voice is featured in a tiny supporting role and Mulhare plays one of the leading roles. However, Bostwick steals the show as the hero in disco outfit.
Needham cleverly crafted pulp with few resources, which a Smokey lacks. Although. Silva gives away a nice imitation of Reynolds in this otherwise negligible, but fun work.

Funny and cheesy, this film is no more than that, nice to see again. Especially Persis Khambatta was very nice to watch, the rest of the cast plays nice Barry Bostwick is very funny. But for the rest you should not see it for the story but for the action and stunts and those are top.
