Marvin Gable is a friendly real estate agent in the suburbs of Milwaukee whose life is turned upside down when he receives a mysterious envelope from Rose, his former criminal partner whom he left for dead. Marvin is soon thrown back into a world of ruthless assassins, led by his brother Knuckles, who forces him to confront his hidden past.

At first glance, Marvin Gable [Ke Huy Quan] is a clean-cut, mild-mannered real estate agent. Until his former partner [Ariana DeBose] comes looking for him and warns him that a gang of criminals, led by his brother Alvin "Knuckles" [Daniel Wu], has tracked him down. The Oscar winner for Everything Everywhere All At Once does a creditable Jackie Chan impersonation in the action scenes, but Eusebio peppers the action with graphic violence, giving this on-paper lighthearted comedy an unpleasant, grim aftertaste.
