Remains a very good film, may have some realistic and historical errors, but the story is excellent and beautifully acted and can be re-watched many times. It is striking that we rarely see anything like this in recent years.

Boy, this has very little to do with the canon. It all looks pretty good, Owen and Gruffudd are fine and Knightley is even excellent, but the "eternal triangle" of their three characters, the magic of what the Round Table stands for and the majestic figure of Merlin are only touched on sideways in rather than being essential elements in the plot. It's also good to choose a new angle, but this is all not for me. By the way, nice to note when reviewing actors who did not stand out at the time but are now known through later films: Marius Honorius (the Roman who must be relieved) is played by Ken Stott, Balin in the Hobbit trilogy .

Fantastic movie this. A strong story, beautifully portrayed as a whole. The good cast also makes it very attractive to watch. Unlike many movies lately, this one looks realistic. With good surround sound a pleasure to watch!
