Just as good as KB 1. This time Uma is more on the firearms.

Also the Black Mamba's bite was cool and so was that hard white haired old guy.

Only that Jill is buried alive and just rams her fists through the coffin is impossible

But just like KB 1 a 5.0*

After watching part 1 a few days ago, I have now also watched part 2. I must say that this second part surprised me positively.

The first part consisted of many beautifully rendered battles. It was a very beautiful scene to watch. But the movie did have too many fights. So I was a bit afraid for this second part. I would have thought there might be even more combat in this (in an attempt to make part 2 more spectacular than part 1). But this turned out not to be the case. In fact, the movie has almost no fights at all. This turned out to be a completely different movie than I expected.

Instead of many fights, the film mainly consists of many dialogues and exciting parts. To be honest, not everything was equally interesting. For example, the part that we get some more background information from Beatrix's wedding I find a bit long-winded. The pace of the film could have been a bit faster. But that doesn't change the fact that I really like some parts of the film. I thought it was a very good piece when Beatrix was buried alive and then managed to escape. I also found that part with Pai Mei in between interesting.

There aren't many fight scenes in the film, but I think the big fight in the film is very strong. I really like the fight between Beatrix and Elle. How the fight ends is amazing. At the end of the film, the viewer also expects a big fight between Bill and Beatrix. But that fight isn't really coming. Instead, you get an unexpected emotional finale. I think it's nicely done.

The acting in this movie is very good. I love the chemistry between Uma Thurman and David Carradine. I also really like the soundtrack to this movie.

All in all, I like Kill Bill: Vol. 2 a good movie. This is a different and in my opinion a better film than part 1. Because of some long-winded parts just under 4*.

3.5 stars for this movie.

Phew, less than part 1. A lot less action too. The scene where she was buried alive isn't exciting this time either because you know what's going to happen. End scene is pretty anticlimactic in my eyes. I'm even a little disappointed about this. This film doesn't hold up well under review. At least that's my opinion. Much palaver, but actually sometimes not too exciting for the end with Bill. This one is only going to get 2.5* from me. Maybe a little too strict, but I don't like overvaluations that are not justified.
