Sequel to a film that wasn't that great anyway, but Hayride 2 has a bit more depth and core than the previous part. Unfortunately, that is at the expense of the title, which mainly implies that a horror attraction should be central and that is not what director Terron R. Parsons gives the viewer here. The murderer is also intimidating and a number of murders go on for a remarkably long time, but the makers can't hide the fact that it is a rather boring film. Little of note happens, with a lot of drama around not very interesting characters who never really get a chance to develop. Add to that a fairly bare design and you have a film that is just a bit better than the first part, although it's not that big of a deal. At least they had the budget for some car chases and explosions.
