The premise is pretty nice, but as the plot unfolds it gets more stupid and stupid. If the film ends with all the clichés for the last fifteen minutes and becomes ridiculously over the top American, then I'm completely done with it.

If ARIA controls all electonics and communication, then why tinker together such a complicated and long process? Then there are surely other and simpler means to put down the president and his entourage.

In short: The longer the film lasts, the lower the rating.

With difficulty *1/2 remains.

It's a pretty good movie, but there's a lot to like about it. The action is fine and the momentum remains good. The computer animations look slick, but I'm a bit less enthusiastic about the car crashes and chase scenes because they often zoom in too far. As a result, there is no overview and you regularly see blurry shots. The cast is otherwise OK. Unfortunately, there are some pathetic dialogues, especially between the two protagonists, which I should have left out. Otherwise a fascinating and sometimes even spectacular film.

A good thriller with a substantive, gripping suspense. Certainly in the first half, the mysterious aspect was well kept. The cat-and-mouse game was also quite strong. The film was not always realistic, but that is often the case with thriller films.

3.5/5
