Joe Braven leads a tough, but simple and honest life as a lumberjack along the border between the United States and Canada. However, that changes immediately when he discovers that a drug gang is using his remote mountain hut as a storage place. The merciless leader of the gang wants to force the good family man to his knees by threatening his family, but that is beyond the doggedness of his opponent. Because Braven has, literally and figuratively, more arrows to his bow.

101 clichés in a row but I have to admit that it is an entertaining film with more than enough action. Lumberjack Braven's not-so-bright truck driver hides a load of drugs in his log cabin in the woods, just a day before Braven and his ailing father take a break. The drug dealers come to collect their shipments but have no intention of keeping the witnesses alive. The war can begin. I still find Momoa quite enjoyable in such roles... Dillahunt is also not ready for his test piece: a very fine actor who has been coming along for a while.

After Oeding does everything he can to portray Joe Braven [Jason Momoa] as the perfect daddy (with the help of a daughter [Sasha Rossof] who is constantly cracking up at his jokes), it's time to act. And so the Braven family decides to pay a visit to that remote snow lodge. But uh-oh, thug has just used the vacant house to hide money from a drug deal there, so Brave Joe quickly turns out to be a brawler who makes short work of the thug. Most action movies of 90 minutes or less have a thin story. But that doesn't matter, because you know what you're getting into. The point is that they have a lot of action, you don't have to think too much and they are just fine for a night of lounging.
The only thing that really bothers me is when a movie isn't right at all. This movie contains so much illogical shit and so many stupid actions from start to finish, that it's just really annoying to actually look further.
“You did this” was what that leader said to our Braven when he stabbed his dad, and I totally agree. Those guys came for the drugs in the first place.
That friend should have just said: stay here, they are there with a family, know nothing about this and are unarmed, I'll get that bag and then it's done.
Didn't happen. Okay. Then they all walk to that hut and the drug gang was only concerned with the drugs. But no, Braven has to play the hero again, perform whole maneuvers to eventually lose his father.
He managed to take out 2 men, only had to focus on that leader, had so many guns in the house, but grabs an ax and runs outside?
Okay, very logical again.
And then at the end 
♀️ There are enough automatic weapons, grab a bear trap hahahaha please!
Also super illogical.
And what about that woman and child? Running with the police, ALSO such logic 
Normally I am bothered by bad horrors, but I have rarely been so disturbed by an action movie..
This was really really bad.
Bad choices. Illogical acts. And very badly acted.
Well 1 advantage: are they easily done with the choice of what would happen to that demented dad
