High school student Ichigo Kurosaki has a gift for seeing ghosts. One day, his family is attacked by a demonic spirit, a Hollow, that eats human souls. A mysterious woman, Rukia Kuchiki, who calls herself a "Soul Reaper" appears. She urges Ichigo to make the ultimate choice. Will he be killed along with his family or will he become a Soul Reaper protecting all the people of the world from Hollows? Based on the manga of the same name.
