Dave Bautista revealed that Daniel Craig was much happier filming Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery than he was filming James Bond epic, Spectre.
After Pierce Brosnan confirmed his retirement from the role of 007 following Die Another Day, the casting rumour mill naturally went into overdrive, as Bond producers searched for their next Bond who would star in the Casino Royale reboot.
Craig would land the role and go on to lead the most commercially successful period in the franchise's history before retiring as 007 himself in 2021's No Time to Die.
The actor has continually spoken about the pressure of playing Bond and having to carry such an important film series, and Bautista thinks that pressure was present when filming Spectre as opposed to Glass Onion.
"He was really put through it on Bond," he previously told Entertainment Weekly.
"You could feel that he was under a lot of pressure. He didn't seem like the happiest person on Bond, but on Glass Onion, it was the complete opposite.
"He was just so much fun, and he was always smiling and happy and interacted a lot more.
"On Spectre, there wasn't a whole lot of interaction with the whole cast. But Glass Onion was the complete opposite. We were always together. So I got to know him better as a person and actually see him do his thing."
Craig rather famously said that he would rather "cut his wrists" than play Bond again after Spectre, but he ended up doing so one last time.
There are numerous names in the frame to be the next James Bond.
