Jack Sadelstein is a successful advertising executive living in Los Angeles with his beautiful wife and children. meh.
Not a fan of cross-dress comedies, as it turns out with this film. The first hour still has a nice (sunny) atmosphere. Airy, lots of blue sky and now and then a nice (but flat) joke in between.
All is not too bad, until the last hour of course has to become very corny and semi-dramatic. I really dislike it and it's also poorly executed here. Fortunately, this film does not last too long, but not much is left of the first reasonable hour afterwards.
Sandler can definitely do better, hopefully the last time he steps into a woman's skin.

What was this then.
Obviously one of the most annoying comedies I've ever seen. I seriously had to put in a lot of effort to sit out the 91 minutes. But because I watch every movie, I watched this one too, and I finally succeeded.
Why Sandler would even want to do these kinds of comedies at all is a bit of a mystery to me. He really can act and knows how to play his part, but then he does these kinds of films again and that, as expected, gives a reasonable dent in his image.
Why actors like Pacino and actresses like Holmes are also in this is a complete mystery to me. They're way too good for a movie like this. Although I still liked Pacino, he really shouldn't be in these kinds of movies.
The clear images that made me think of commercials are about the only real plus points. The comedies were terribly annoying. I was open-mouthed with how annoying the humor could get and how bad your comedy can be.
Watched the film with great difficulty, I almost couldn't get through it. Annoying seat, which didn't make sense and didn't become fun either.

Oof.
I like to see Al Pacino in action so I felt a bit obliged to handle this one as well. Adam Sandler on the other hand is much more miss than hit with me, but still given a chance. That is hardly surprising. You don't have to do it for Pacino - although of course I knew well enough that the opposite would be surprising. Sandler is very annoying.
So annoying I got a Norbit feeling from it while watching it. Sandler should have known better, if the more talented Eddie Murphy, in my opinion, doesn't give a damn in this kind of double role. Except for a rare smile, poverty is trump and irritation upstairs. That Sandler has been able to straighten his career is just as bad as this movie is bad.
