"The old school cop is back!"
Police officer John McClane is tasked with collecting young hacker Matt Farrell. It seems like a routine job at first, but when McClane and Farrell are suddenly attacked in Farrell's apartment, it turns out that there is much more going on. They then discover that Thomas Gabriel is threatening the entire country with a plot to sabotage the computer system and engineering structure that drives the American economy. It's up to the shaggy and foul-mouthed McClane to stop Gabriel's scheme.

This one does not want to get bored, even after having seen it 3 times already. Although it is exaggerated, everything is perfectly fine: story, humor, spectacle, choreography of fights. The action scenes are not only beautifully filmed but also creatively conceived. It is by far the most spectacular part of the Die Hard series. And McClane's daughter is a great addition, but Justin Long, in particular, steals the show as a compunder to help McClane. Willis does the part with his eyes closed but again intensely sets the right tone between humor and seriousness with all the over the top action, complete with primitive grunts. To enjoy!

John McClane (Bruce Willis) is called up again and the problems are bigger than ever before. All of America is in danger as the crooks try to get their hands on all kinds of computer networks.
Ideal ammunition for good action. My fifteenth film with Willis, who has clearly grown in his role(s). In Live free or Die hard (2007) he flies in all directions in several delightful action scenes.
That was it because the story is over the top, unrealistic and vague (understatement), the other actors are mediocre and the story around it is wafer thin. The latter is better too 
.

People regularly claim that the Die Hard series went downhill from this film. I have the feeling that those people have forgotten Die Hard 2 and have made Die Hard 3 much more beautiful in their memory. Both are great action movies, just like this one. There's nothing outstanding, innovative or groundbreaking to be found and Bruce Willis is already busy acting on the most sleep-inducing autopilot of all time, but in terms of entertaining and polished action, the film is not inferior to the previous two. However, it lacks some colorful characters. They still try something with Long and Smith, but it doesn't really jump off the screen. Most insane is that they cast Timothy Olyphant as the villain, but apparently asked him to leave all his charisma at home. Was probably too expensive.
