Georgetown plot
Social life in Washington is dominated by political intrigue and gossip. German Elsa Brecht meets her husband Ulrich Mott after the death of her first husband. The couple invite guests to their decrepit mansion in suburban Georgetown. There they hold talks with former world leaders and Supreme Court judges. The hosts are also food for conversation. After all, it is strange that an 80-year-old woman, with influential friends in her environment, marries a man with a dubious past.

Good film about a man who is married to an older woman and knows how to work his way up in high circles. Based on a true story. The denouement is soon clear, but the setup with the long flashbacks keeps the film entertaining. Well cast and well acted. A small 3.5 stars.
