Stranger Things creator Ross Duffer has teased a mystery character in season five.
Over the first four seasons, various beloved characters died including Billy Hargrove, Barbara Holland, Bob Newby and Eddie Munson.
The show is also known for injecting fresh life into each season with the introduction of new characters. Duffer posted a call sheet on social media which, crucially, had one mystery name redacted.
Fans have speculated that a major character could return in season five, or that a new major character will debut.

One character who won't be returning is Bob, according to Sean Astin.
"Fans would say, 'Are you gonna be in 'Stranger Things',' and I would say, 'No, I'm dead.'" he said at LA Comic-Con
"But why couldn't they do a flashback... to a happier time with (with Joyce) - I know why they won't. Because it's going to be Hopper and Joyce, and they're not going to want to flashback to a time when she was actually happy!"
At the conclusion of season two, Bob is mauled to death by Demodogs while helping Joyce and the Hellfire Club escape.
Stranger Things 5 first scene revealed
The opening scene for the final season of Stranger Things has been revealed.
The closing moments of the last episode of season four promised a final showdown between the Hellfire Club and the creatures from The Upside Down nightmare reality.
Now that the writers strike is over, season five can finally be put together, and the Stranger Things scribes have teased the opening scene.
On a social media post, we saw a picture of the first few sentences of the script which read:
'DARKNESS
'The sound of COLD WIND. GROANING TREES. And... A CHILD'S VOICE. Singing a familiar song.'
As for what the familiar song could be, there are a few options. The most obvious choice would be 'Running Up That Hill' by Kate Bush which featured heavily in a popular season four episode focusing on Max. Will previously sang 'Should I Stay or Should I Go' by The Clash, while Eddie played 'Master of Puppets' by Metallica on the guitar before his death.
Stranger Things cast: Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Cara Buono, Matthew Modine, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Joe Keery, Dacre Montgomery, Sean Astin, Paul Reiser, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson and Brett Gelman.
