England, 1936. After a scandalous divorce from a celebrity, British tennis star Nevile Strange and his ex-wife Audrey make the unthinkable decision to spend the summer together at Gull's Point, their childhood home and the seaside estate of Nevile's aunt, Lady Tressilian. With unfinished business between the former high school sweethearts, plus the presence of Nevile's new wife Kay, tensions run high. Then, on top of that, a murder is committed. A troubled detective attempts to solve the crime before more victims are claimed.
