'The Grimm Variations' is an anthology series that follows the two brothers Jacob and Wilhelm. They collected fairy tales from all over the country and compiled them into books. They have a sister named Charlotte who they love very much, who is very curious. Charlotte, who wonders whether the fairy tales written by her brothers always end positively, looks through their books for a new interpretation that is very different from that of Jacob and Wilhelm.
