One of the highlights of the 96th Academy Awards ceremony was Ryan Gosling performing a live version of 'I'm Just Ken' from Barbie.
It seems like the performance had been in the works for a while, though both Gosling and Mark Ronson, who produced the song, were previously tight-lipped about the plans.
"That would be great," Ronson said of Gosling performing 'I'm Just Ken'
"Did he confirm it to you? I want to know... it's my dream! It's my dream."
Gosling previously commented on the speculation, joking to W Magazine:
"Well, I haven't been invited. And I wasn't thinking about it until now, and now it's all I'm going to think about. Do you get paid to sing at the Oscars? Do you have to drive yourself? What kind of scratch is involved? They pick you up at least, right?"
Fans got their wish as Gosling took to the stage at the Oscars for an epic rendition of I'm Just Ken, joined by his fellow Kens Simu Liu, Kingsley Ben-Adir and Ncuti Gatwa and 65 additional Kens.
We also got a surprise as legendary rockstar Slash joined in the fun with a guitar solo.
Towards the end of the performance, Gosling went into the crowd for some audience participation, with Margot Robbie, Greta Gerwig, America Ferrera and Emma Stone all belting out some of the lyrics.
