Everyone knows that Keanu Reeves is one of the nicest guys in Hollywood, but he is also one of the most bankable stars in Tinseltown.

The actor has appeared in some of the most epic action movies of all time, and some of his best are in our top 10 below.

He's not just a money-making A-lister, though, as there are plenty of his movies that have received critical acclaim, and hugely positive reactions from our own MovieMeter community.

It is perhaps no surprise to see The Matrix rated as Reeves' best movie considering it is his most iconic role. Even though, prior to the film's production, there were reportedly numerous actors ahead of him in the pecking order to play Neo, it is now difficult to picture anyone else playing the character, which he reprised in three subsequent Matrix movies.

In second, a drama, is The Devil's Advocate.

He has a supporting role in Dangerous Liaisons, but that film comes in third, with Toy Story 4 in fifth.

Rounding out the top five is Speed, recognised as one of the best action features of the 1990s.
