Fans are demanding that Warner Bros. halt plans to completely shelve Coyote vs. Acme.
The movie stars Will Forte and John Cena.
The official premise read:
'After all of the products made by Acme Corporation backfire on Wile E. Coyote, in his pursuit of the Road Runner, he hires an equally-unlucky human attorney to sue the company. When Wile E.'s lawyer finds out that his former law firm's intimidating boss is ACME's CEO, he teams up with Wile E. to win the court case against him.'
It was a mix of animation and live-action, akin to Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
Sounds fun, right?
Not fun enough for Warner Bros. as despite a positive reaction from an early test screening, they announced the movie would not be released.
"With the re-launch of Warner Bros. Pictures Animation in June, the studio has shifted its global strategy to focus on theatrical releases," a statement read.
"With this new direction, we have made the difficult decision not to move forward with Coyote vs Acme. We have tremendous respect for the filmmakers, casts, and crew, and are grateful for their contributions to the film."
It was then announced that the movie had been shopped around for potential buyers, only for Warner Bros. to demand a high price.

Coyote vs. Acme was shopped around
The outrage at the decision to scrap the movie led to Warner Bros. deciding instead to put it in the shop window for other studios to purchase, with Netflix and Paramount two noted studios who expressed interest and even made concrete offers.
According to The Wrap, Warner Bros. demanded $75 million for the rights and didn't even negotiate down that price when studios came back with a counter offer.
It was pretty much a "take it or leave it" scenario, and the other studios chose the latter.
That means we won't see the film at all as Warner Bros. will take advantage of the tax break ahead of their quarterly financial call.
This comes a year after the studio unceremoniously deleted the Batgirl movie.
