Movies like this always make me wonder why we don't have a good translation for English forgettable in Dutch, because that's what this movie totally is. No suspense, no entertainment, no catchy dialogue, and a twist that even I saw coming from miles away (as if Ford would just let someone in to steal all his secrets - and besides, he would have let his new employee and thus knew that he wrote his thesis on him, so it's kinda weird that Hemsworth wouldn't know where Ford was born). Only the scenes with Ford and Oldman together brought some life to the brewery, and the way the bugging phone "dunking" turned out to be circumvented was well prepared and liked. For the rest : totally forgettable.

Smooth movie and good cast. Story about two media moguls who fight to become the most powerful company and use corporate espionage. Slogans such as: 'Everyone steals from each other anyway' and 'why not take my share' characterize film. However, nothing is really worked out in depth, but the superficiality doesn't stand out either. However, is what makes the difference between this and a real blockbuster. It never gets really exciting and the action also leaves a bit on his appetite. But actors make up for a lot and make sure it doesn't come across as a b-movie. Do get the impression that the director wants to tell too much in a short period of time. Certainly towards the end it is as if a whole story has to pass in 5 minutes...

“Privacy. Absolute myth. There's no such thing.”

Thirteen in a dozen cyberthriller that never gets bored because of the pace, the acting and the audiovisual aspect. It's hip and flashy, with a script that feels very stale. You've seen everything before, and it sometimes feels like pieces from other movies are stuck together.

But Paranoia is certainly not a mistake, and that is mainly due to the acting of Ford, Oldman, Hemsworth and Amber Heard, among others. With Dreyfuss who plays a beautiful role as Hemsworth's father, and ensures that the film also has some emotional depth. The rich old men end up behind bars and the young hero conquers the beautiful girl... You can even draw the ending.
