Nice film in which an extremely punctual school director misses the train with major consequences. Reasonably entertaining, but it doesn't want to be really hilarious (despite the fact that the set-up lends itself well to this). John Cleese also holds back a bit too much (especially compared to his other roles). Nevertheless, it does look easy.

More fun than I remembered.

In the 80's you were pretty much thrown to death with Cleese, and also with a limited number of characters that he played in it. Whether I was influenced by that at the time, or whether there was something else I didn't like about this film, I'm not so clear anymore. Now I think it's a fairly enjoyable movie - although the jokes about left/right are a bit meager and Cleese is usually very close to irritation. But now I find the singing quite hilarious "follow the Master". Perhaps those details escaped me at the time.

Wasn't expecting much from it but it turned out to be a surprisingly fun movie and we had fun with it from start to finish. Cleese is really here again Cleese luckily he can't be otherwise. With a great cast, this film is highly recommended.
